Empowering Youth. Strengthening Livelihoods. Building Resilient Communities

Through the Joint Resilience Programme (JRP II), implemented by Salaam Development Center (SDC) in partnership with World Food Programme (WFP), vulnerable youth are gaining the skills and opportunities needed to build sustainable futures.

The second cohort has successfully completed six months of competency-based vocational training in Auto Mechanics, Construction, and Agriculture, followed by practical workplace internships that enhanced their technical skills, confidence, and employability.

Building on lessons learned, the programme has introduced an individual start-up kit approach to promote equity, ownership, accountability, and long-term business sustainability. 110 graduates will receive start-up equipment to launch or expand their own income-generating activities.

Together, we are investing in skills, creating opportunities, and empowering young people to become resilient entrepreneurs who contribute to stronger families and thriving communities.
